Hello, my name is Angie. I was led to create this blog. One day, while posting on facebook about a workout that I have just finished, I was led to start a blog about getting healthy and including God in my blog, so here it is – Getting Healthy In God.
I am a Christian and as a Christian, I strongly believe that I am suppose to be healthy. God has a job for me to do. I am in his army. I’m his soldier. A soldier has to be in top condition, in order to perform 100%.
Getting Healthy In God is not just about appearing healthy on the outside, but also about being healthy in the inside, for afterall, healthy starts in the inside and shines on the outside.
I want to share two scriptures that I believe works hand and hand with Getting Healthy In God:
1. Hebrews 11:1 Now Faith is the substance of things hope for, the evidence of things not seen.
Why did I use this scripture? I’ve used this scripture, because a lot of people want to get healthy, but they don’t believe that they can. It’s easy to stand unhealthy and imagine yourself as being healthy, but that reality will never become your reality, if you are wearing doubt. Faith is a powerful word. Faith is a mover. Faith will take a person traveling to wonderful places. If a person truly wants to get healthy, they need to put on faith shoes and never take them off, no matter what!
2. James 2:26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.
Why did I use this scripture? I’ve used this scripture, because a person will not get healthy, by only just having faith. A person has to work for healthiness.
I want to get healthy + doing nothing = Same Unhealthy Condition.
The above equation is not in my math’s book. That’s my past.
I am working for healthiness. I have walked too many years in unhealthy shoes. At this present moment, my weight and bodyfat percentage don’t fit my 5ft1″ body frame. I’m overweight according to my weight and obese according to my body fat percentage.
I’m getting healthy by focusing on my body fat percentage and measurements. I don’t care what my weight number says. Why? 1. Because, a weight number can fluctuate. The fluctuation can occur on the same scale or even on a different scale. 2. Because, my weight number can state that I am overweight, although I am shrinking and 3. Because, I don’t have to be my ideal weight, to be healthy.
Feel free to follow this blog and my second blog – Getting Healthy In God 2. It’s an inspirational blog that I was led to create, to inspire other people in getting healthy too. You can find a link to it on the right hand side of my blog, under My Blogs.
Also, feel free to leave comments. I moderate comments and they have to be approved by me, before they are shown on my blog. Please don’t let that hinder you from leaving a comment and please give it a day or two, to see if your comment has been posted. The comments are emailed to me and I might be busy and don’t get a chance to check my email for hours or days.
Note: All positive comments will be posted.
I pray that my blogs will help someone.
